The Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, led his team to pay a work visit to the Ikorodu Local Government today, Friday, 23 May, 2025.
The LSLGSC delegation was warmly received by the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina in company of the Management and the entire staff of Ikorodu LG.
Hon. Bayewu, appreciated the Executive Chairman for his unwavering commitment and diligence towards the welfare of the staff of the Local Government.
Hon. Hakeem Adisa Bangbala commended the Chairman for his all-round infrastructural impacts in the Secretariat and the Local Government at large. While stating the purpose of the visitation, as a means to assess the conduct of the staff and their welfare.
Being a part of the objectives of the visitation, the achievements and plans of the commission under the leadership of Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, the representative of the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Ajayi Omobola, reiterated the importance of the Knowledge Sharing Session to be handled by the Human Resources Officer of the Council.
Also, she hinted that the commission will commence the recognition of outstanding staff across all the council Secretariat in the State.
Hon. Adesina in his remark, appreciated the commission's visitation; marking the 5th visitation of the current administration. He seized the avenue to reiterate his commitment towards the welfare of the council staff as he announced that the staff allowance has been increased by 43% last week.
He emphasized that though his tenure is fast winding up, he would ensure he hands over a befitting council Secretariat whose staff are well cared for.
However, Hon. Bayewu urged the staff to be diligent in the discharge of their duties to the State.
