"Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whose life and sacrifice brought salvation and redemption to all of humanity," Primate Ayodele said. "It is a moment to remember God's great love for us and to reflect on the importance of showing love to one another."
The cleric reminded Christians that the core message of Christmas is love, and urged people to extend kindness and compassion not just during the holiday season, but throughout the year. "Let us show love to everyone we come across, regardless of their religion, race, or background," he said. "Christmas is a reminder that we are all brothers and sisters, united in love."
In light of the ongoing hardships facing many Nigerians, especially in these difficult times, Ayodele urged those blessed with resources to share with those in need.
