VENO tv | ENTERTAINMENT OGOGO"S FINAL JOURNEY: VETERAN GOES HOME AMID TEARS

Today, the Yoruba movie industry bids a final farewell to veteran actor Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, as family, colleagues, friends and admirers gather in Ilaro, Ogun State, for his burial.
Ogogo was more than an actor to generations of movie lovers. For decades, his commanding screen presence and memorable interpretation of traditional and authoritative roles made him one of the familiar faces associated with Yoruba-language cinema.
THE FINAL BOW
He came, he saw, he conquered — and today, the veteran goes home.
But what does it mean to “go home”?
It means leaving behind the stage, cameras, applause and bright lights. It is the final bow of a man whose performances entertained audiences and contributed to the growth and preservation of Yoruba storytelling on screen.
His passing is also a reminder of the mortality of man. Fame, wealth, influence and applause may pass away, but the impact a person makes while alive can remain for generations.
Ogogo leaves behind memories, a body of work and a legacy that will continue to speak beyond today's tears.
CELEBRATING A LEGACY
As mourners gather to pay their last respects, this should not be a moment of sorrow alone. It should also be a celebration of a life devoted to entertainment, culture and storytelling.
The curtain may have fallen, but the performances will not easily be forgotten.

You left your footprints on the sands of time.
Today, the veteran goes home.
May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and give his family, colleagues, friends and admirers the strength to bear the loss.
