VENO TV: FEATURE Sowore to President Tinubu: "Go to Adult School, Let Serious People Contest 2027"

The Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 general election and Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Comrade Omoyele Sowore, has challenged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to return to adult school instead of, in his words, misleading Nigerians over his educational qualifications.

Sowore argued that President Tinubu should allow "serious people" to contest the 2027 presidential election.
According to Sowore, when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) published the educational qualifications of presidential candidates, President Tinubu's profile did not include details of his primary and secondary education but stated that he obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from Chicago State University.

Sowore made the remarks shortly after appearing in court over the ongoing legal proceedings arising from his alleged statement describing President Tinubu as a criminal.
Speaking with journalists after the court session, Sowore expressed dissatisfaction with the proceedings and called on the presiding judge to recuse himself from the case, alleging that the court was not giving his legal team a fair hearing.
According to him, the prosecution sought to close its case prematurely despite the defence's insistence on obtaining documentary evidence.

"We have diligently participated in the court proceedings. The Director-General of the DSS has allegedly refused to appear, but we are ready for them. We need documentary evidence before they can close their case. We also have over 20 witnesses to call. The judge can go on vacation if he wishes—everything don cast," Sowore said.

He also announced that the #RevolutionNow movement would mark its fifth anniversary on August 5, describing it as a milestone in the campaign for accountability, justice and democratic reforms in Nigeria.
