VENO tv: Frank Talk on Insecurity — “Intelligence Has Collapsed,” Pastor F.E. Bamiduro Declares

The revered man of God and General Overseer of Thy Word Is Life Ministry, Lagos, Pastor F.E. Bamiduro, has reacted strongly to the rising wave of kidnapping and killings across Nigeria.
Speaking during a church service on Sunday, the cleric lamented what he described as the collapse of the nation’s intelligence and security network.
According to him, “Does it mean the intelligence agency network has collapsed? During the military regime, we blamed the military, but military operations are combat approaches. Accurate intelligence is what they act upon.”
Pastor Bamiduro stressed that the increasing insecurity in parts of the country reflects the failure of intelligence agencies to work together effectively.
“It shows our DSS and NIA are not doing their jobs the way they used to. All these security issues are failures of intelligence agencies. There is no more cooperative networking among them. What a pity,” he said.
Referring to recent incidents in Oyo State, he lamented the kidnapping of schoolchildren and their principal, as well as the killing of a teacher, saying such attacks happened without any prior intelligence alert.
The cleric also decried the economic hardship facing Nigerians, blaming some government policies for worsening living conditions.
“The hardship is getting out of hand. Churches are closing down. In my area alone, four places of worship have been sold, and the proceeds converted into farming in Ogun State,” he revealed.
He added that even farming has now become risky due to the fear of kidnappers and bandits.
“The irony is that the farms have now been abandoned because of insecurity. The fear of bandits is now the beginning of wisdom,” Pastor Bamiduro lamented.
