VENO tv: Politics AIYEDATIWA ON A DANGEROUS COLLISION COURSE WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND APC NATIONAL LEADERSHIP
Date: 15-05-26

The political atmosphere in has been enveloped in grave tension and growing apprehension following disturbing allegations of an alleged plot to manipulate the forthcoming House of Representatives Primaries scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Reports reaching concerned stakeholders accuse Governor of attempting to interfere with the party’s adopted Direct Primary System, a move critics describe as a direct challenge to the authority of the APC National Leadership and a threat to internal democracy.

According to the allegations, certain returning officers have allegedly been compromised and positioned to manipulate the exercise through the use of photocopied result sheets instead of officially authorized originals, with claims that the process is aimed at imposing preferred candidates across federal constituencies in Ondo State.
Observers warn that such actions, if true, could undermine the credibility of the APC, erode public confidence in the democratic process, and trigger avoidable political unrest within the state.
Concerned groups have therefore called on , APC National Headquarters, security agencies, civil society organizations, and the media to closely monitor the primaries and ensure transparency, fairness, and strict compliance with democratic procedures.
The statement further revealed that advanced monitoring systems, including surveillance cameras, drone technology, grassroots intelligence networks, and independent situation rooms, would allegedly be deployed by stakeholders to monitor the exercise and expose any attempt at electoral manipulation.

“Democracy must not be sacrificed on the altar of personal ambition,” the statement declared, insisting that Ondo State belongs to the people and not to “political emperors or desperate power merchants.”
The world is watching. Nigeria is watching. History is recording.
— Concerned Citizens of Ondo State
