In a remarkable display of royal generosity and honour, the Olota of the Ancient and Paramount Ottaland, His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, Ph.D. (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode, Olofin Apesin Olode), has presented a brand new Toyota Jeep to High Chief Rufiat Ojugbele-Mathew, the esteemed Iyalode of Ottaland.
The symbolic presentation took place on Thursday, April 16, 2026, shortly after the Olota-in-Council meeting held at the Ipeti Royal Square, Olota’s Palace, Enu Owa, Otta. The historic moment was witnessed by high-ranking chiefs and members of the Council, who applauded Kabiyesi for yet another act of generosity and leadership.
The gesture was not only royal but deeply personal, as it coincided with the birthday celebration of the Iyalode, making it a double moment of honour, celebration, and recognition of her contributions to the kingdom.
