VENO tv: Nigeria’s Music Star in Texas, Olalekan Olaleye (Enuope) Honoured in Absentia as Flight is Cancelled

All roads led to City People Media Group House, Gbagada, Lagos, on Friday, March 27, 2026, as a renowned Nigerian software engineer and music star based in Texas, USA, Olalekan Olaleye, popularly known as Enuope (Heart of Thanksgiving), was honoured with the prestigious North America Nigeria Music Award.
The award, organised by Naija Standard Newspaper Inc., USA, and powered by City People Media Group Nigeria, under the leadership of Dr. Seye Kehinde, attracted dignitaries, celebrities, and media icons from across the nation.
The event was spiritually charged as the officiating minister, Bishop Dr. Sanya Ojo, Publisher of VENO International Magazine and Shepherd-in-Charge of VENO Prayer Centre (Mountain of Covenant), delivered a powerful exhortation titled:
“Divine Recognition: When God Announces a Man”
Text: Psalm 75:6–7
“For promotion comes neither from the east nor from the west… but God is the judge; He puts down one and sets up another.”
In his message, the Bishop declared that:
Recognition begins with God before men celebrate you
Some struggle to be seen, while others are divinely announced
The honour bestowed on Olaleye is a clear sign of divine lifting beyond borders
He emphasized that:
“Today is not just an award ceremony, but a moment of divine announcement.”
Award Received in Absentia
Despite the grandeur of the occasion, Olalekan Olaleye could not attend physically due to a flight cancellation linked to international security concerns involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
However, the award was received on his behalf by his son, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to the organisers and dedicated the honour to his father’s fans worldwide.
Meanwhile, the award recipient joined the ceremony virtually, watching live from his base in Texas, USA.
A Night of Honour and Global Recognition
The event further reinforced the impact of Nigerians in the diaspora and highlighted the role of media and spiritual leadership in celebrating excellence.
Special commendation was also given to:
