Former Osun State Deputy Governor and APC chieftain, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has openly rejected and criticised the report submitted by the party’s reconciliation panel, describing it as “the joke of the year.”
Omisore, who spoke with visible anger and disappointment, faulted the panel for what he called a one-sided, politically compromised and poorly investigated report, insisting that it failed to address the real issues that plunged the party into crisis.
According to him, the so-called reconciliation exercise was nothing more than a cosmetic arrangement designed to protect entrenched interests, rather than heal the deep divisions within the party.
> “If this is reconciliation, then it’s a joke. You cannot solve injustice with hypocrisy,” he hinted.
He warned that ignoring genuine grievances while imposing questionable resolutions could further weaken party unity and cost APC dearly in future political contests.
Political observers note that Omisore’s outburst reflects a growing internal discontent within the APC, as influential stakeholders increasingly challenge party leadership decisions and internal dispute-resolution mechanisms.
As the days unfold, the big question remains:
Will the APC revisit the report and truly reconcile, or will internal cracks widen further?
