1. What is a Foundation?
A foundation is the base or underlying structure on which something is built. Spiritually, your foundation determines your ability to stand firm during trials.

Bible Verse:

Matthew 7:24–27

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock... But everyone who hears these words and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.”

Therefore, Your spiritual foundation determines your survival when storms (challenges) come.

Jesus Christ – The Sure Foundation
Jesus is the solid rock, the only dependable foundation.
In

1 Corinthians 3:11

"For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ."

Isaiah 28:16

“See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.”

? Any life not built on Christ is unstable and doomed to collapse.

? 3. What are the Signs of a Weak Foundation
Inconsistent prayer life

Lack of faith

Worldly living

No fruit of the Spirit

Luke 6:49

"But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed..."

? Lesson: When your foundation is weak, you fall easily under pressure.

Fellowship with believers

Righteous living

Faith in Jesus Christ

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him...”
