More than a year after the disappearance of Mr. Olaoluwa Adetona, a Roll-out Manager reportedly working with telecommunications giant Globacom, his family is still asking one painful question:

Where is Olaoluwa Adetona?
According to accounts provided by his family and attributed to the Vibrant Nifemi Vibrant platform, Adetona worked extensively for Globacom across different parts of Nigeria before being assigned to the Eastern region, particularly Imo State.
The family said that during one of his official assignments, Adetona travelled with other personnel, including expatriate colleagues, to a site around Umuaka in the Orlu axis of Imo State.
He never returned home.

WIFE'S DISTURBING PHONE CALL

According to his wife, attempts to reach him by telephone initially failed. When she subsequently called one of his numbers, an unidentified person allegedly answered the telephone and insulted her.
She later contacted people connected with her husband's workplace and was reportedly informed that he had been kidnapped while other persons travelling with him had escaped.
The family said that from that point, they began desperately searching for answers.
According to the wife's account, Globacom officials assured her that efforts were being made to secure her husband's release. She also alleged that she was discouraged from taking the matter into the public domain.

The family further claims that money was reportedly paid in connection with attempts to secure his release, yet Adetona did not return.
FAMILY ALLEGES PRESSURE TO KEEP QUIET
One of the most serious allegations made by the family is that they were pressured not to publicly discuss the circumstances surrounding Adetona's disappearance.
The wife also alleges that she was at one stage advised to describe her husband as a driver rather than a Roll-out Manager whenever questions were asked about his employment.

VENO TV has not independently established who allegedly gave this instruction or the reason for it.
The family further claims that after the wife threatened to take the case to the public, she began receiving disturbing calls from unidentified or private numbers.
They allege that some other people who showed interest in helping with the case also received calls or eventually withdrew.
These allegations require a full investigation by the appropriate security agencies.

POLICE PETITION, YET FAMILY STILL SEEKS ANSWERS

The matter was reportedly brought before police authorities in Imo State, while petitions were also submitted to higher authorities, including the office of the Inspector-General of Police.
The family says that despite acknowledgements of their complaints and repeated assurances that investigations were continuing, they have yet to receive a definitive explanation concerning Adetona's whereabouts.
The family subsequently engaged legal representation and says letters were written to Globacom seeking clarification and further action.

QUESTIONS OVER INTERVENTION BY ORIYOMI HAMZAT

According to the account circulated by Vibrant Nifemi Vibrant, Adetona's wife also approached broadcaster Oriyomi Hamzat in an effort to draw public attention to the matter.
She alleges that a meeting later took place involving representatives of Globacom without her participation and that she subsequently became dissatisfied with the outcome.
The source has raised questions concerning what transpired during the intervention.
However, VENO TV believes it would be inappropriate to reach conclusions about Oriyomi Hamzat's conduct without hearing his own account and independently establishing the facts surrounding the meeting.

GLOBACOM REPORTEDLY CONTINUES SALARY PAYMENTS

Another unusual development highlighted by the family concerns payments reportedly made in respect of Adetona's employment.
According to his wife, Globacom representatives at one stage requested her bank-account details, after which payments described as her missing husband's salary reportedly began entering the account.
But the wife insists that financial payments are not her priority.
Her demand remains straightforward:
She wants her husband found and returned to his family, or credible information provided concerning what happened to him.

FAMILY TAKES CASE TO THE PUBLIC
Frustrated by what they regard as inadequate progress, the family has now turned to the public through the Vibrant Nifemi Vibrant platform, hoping that renewed attention will encourage authorities and all parties concerned to provide answers.

VENO TV joins the call for a transparent investigation into the disappearance of Mr. Olaoluwa Adetona.

This should not be about accusations without evidence. It should be about finding a missing Nigerian citizen and establishing the truth.
Globacom should be given an opportunity to publicly state what it knows about the incident, what steps were taken after its employee disappeared during an alleged official assignment, and what assistance has been provided to investigators and the family.
Similarly, the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies should provide whatever updates can legally be disclosed without jeopardising ongoing investigations.

THE QUESTIONS THAT NEED ANSWERS

Where exactly did Olaoluwa Adetona disappear?
What happened during the journey to and from the telecommunications site?
Who were the other people travelling with him, and what accounts did they provide investigators?
Was any ransom demanded or paid?
What became of Adetona's vehicle and other personal belongings?
Were threats actually made against his wife or relatives, and if so, by whom?
What do police investigations conducted so far reveal?

And most importantly:
WHERE IS OLAOLUWA ADETONA?

VENO TV respectfully calls on Globacom management, Chief Mike Adenuga, the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector-General of Police, the Imo State Police Command, the Department of State Services and the Federal Government to ensure that every lawful avenue is explored to establish the truth.
If Mr. Adetona is alive, every effort must be made to bring him home.
If something tragic has happened to him, his wife, children and extended family deserve the truth, supported by credible evidence.
After more than a year of uncertainty, the family deserves answers.

VENO TV will welcome responses from Globacom, Oriyomi Hamzat, the Nigeria Police Force or any other party mentioned in connection with the case and will publish their responses in the interest of fairness.
